History

JSC Achinsk Oil Refinery VNK is the only major refinery in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and also plays an important role in the oil products market of the adjacent regions.

The refinery was established in 1982, in 2007, it became part of Rosneft.

The design capacity of the refinery is 6.0 million tons of oil per year, with a nominal capacity of 7.5 million tons of oil per year. The refinery processes West Siberian crude oil supplied through the trunk pipeline system. The secondary processing capacities of the plant include units for catalytic reforming, isomerization, hydrotreatment of jet and diesel fuel, bitumen unit.

The plant specializes in the production of motor and aviation fuel. The plant's products are sold mainly in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the neighboring regions.

Petroleum products are shipped by rail and road.

Since 2014, the Achinsk Oil Refinery has been producing all of its motor gasoline in K5 environmental class.

In 2015, the refinery started to produce K5 motor fuels in full volume, and since 2017 it has been producing DMF-IV marine fuel with improved environmental performance.

In 2018, the main investments were directed to the implementation of a comprehensive plant modernization program, including the construction of a hydrocracking complex with off-plot facilities and an oil coke production complex, as well as the implementation of projects to improve operational efficiency.
